Friday to Sunday 21- 23 Aug 2015
From 4.00pm onwards on Friday to 2.00pm Sunday at stunning Wortley Hall (www.wortleyhall.org.uk), near Sheffield
This residential will partly follow the pattern of recent RWF events at Wortley Hall and elsewhere. However, this will not feature external expert speakers; there will be a facilitator (Joseph Boughey) for each session, but the progress of discussion will depend on individual participants. As with sessions in Philosophy in Pubs, or Discussions in Pubs, the aim will be a series of democratic discussions in which all can feel able to take part, although no one need feel that they must! The weekend is based on Raymond Williams’ classic book Keywords and will feature a task that may be fulfilled by the end of the weekend – which is to work on a new keyword, one of considerable relevance to current political discourse – “aspirational”
